The Kennetcook River fossils are found above and below the bridge that crosses the main highway. Fossils are found in the limestone beginning approximately 100 m north of the bridge.
Students on a class trip collecting fossils below the bridge.
The erosion from the river over the years has exposed the layers.
View of the banks where fossils are often located. There is limited collecting only in this area.
The area contains brachiopods, bryozan, cephalopods, gastropods, corals and pelecypods.

The picture on the left show different types of corals.
