Carol A. Nauss, Presentations is pleased to announce the release of a new educational CD-ROM, "Nova Scotia Dinosaurs and Other Fossils".

Did you realize that Nova Scotia has a wealth of fossils that are some of the oldest in the world? That the newest discovery at Brule, is recognized as a world class site, providing information that may change accepted thinking about ancient amphibians, reptiles and dinosaurs? Nova Scotia has dinosaurs, but not large ones. Find out about our local dinosaurs, amphibians, reptiles and other fossils. Visit the sites where they are being discovered without leaving your chair.

Program Description:

The program focuses on fossil sites in Nova Scotia such as Parrsboro, Joggins, Arisaig, Brule etc. It includes information and graphics of dinosaurs, amphibians, reptiles, and other species found in Nova Scotia, extinction theories, a time line of Earth’s evolution, focusing on Nova Scotia’s development, interactive maps, sound files, over 200 photos, graphics and video.

General information about fossils, local regulations, sites where fossils are on display, or where they may be collected. The final section of the program offers a variety of activities designed to give users a chance to apply their knowledge, reconstruct fossils from a bone hash, and listen to a story by George Young about the discovery of a dinosaur egg in Truro.

This is a Nova Scotian produced, educational program, that provides a wealth of information and activities.
