Club Members Captain Kidd Rod & Gun,

After a very busy year of rebuilding and hard work the club is up and running but we have more to do in order to make a good club even better.

We need your participation to continue and improve.

Please be advised that the 2012 Annual General Meeting of the Captain Kidd Rod and Gun Club will take place at the clubhouse, 2915 Highway #3 East Chester, at 7:00 pm on Wednesday January 11, 2012.

The AGM will hold elections for the executive for 2012. If you would like to put forward a name for an executive position for 2012 you may forward a name with a second for the motion to the Secretary at this email address prior to the meeting. Nominations will also be called from the floor during the meeting with the same process i.e. a mover and a second.

Year end reports from the Executive will cover the Business and Financial positions of the club.

The membership fees for 2012 will be proposed, moved and voted on as recommended by the Directors and Executive per the by-laws of the club. The proposal is $55.00 for new and renewed memberships.

New range rules and fees will also be proposed, moved, discussed and voted.

We will also discuss projects for 2012 and look for members to step forward to support the various committees and or work parties.

We will be accepting membership fees for 2012 following the meeting.

Our email list is extensive but not complete, so, please ask your friends who are members if they know of the meeting and encourage them to come to the meeting and participate.

We look forward to seeing you there.

On behalf of the Executive and Directors,

Peter G. Amiro, Secretary

Captain Kidd Rod and Gun Club

The Captain Kidd Rod and Gun Club was formed in 1937 as the "Owl's Head Rod and Gun Club,"  on land donated by Lewis Miller. In 1954 the  name was  changed to,   "Captain Kidd Rod and Gun Club."    The club is situated on the edge of the bay.  It's new name came from the legend of  Captain William Kidd and his treasure supposedly hidden on nearby Oak Island.  Treasurer hunters are still seeking  this treasure.
